On my fourth trip to Positano in October 2011, I finally made it to Le Sirenuse for a drink and a gaze at their fabulous view. I was a little intimidated of this, the most famous and expensive hotel in Positano, but there’s really no need to be. The only bar open was the smaller one just out by the pool and has a lovely patio. The drinks are expensive sure, 16 Euro for a prosecco cocktail, 11 Euro for a glass of wine, but you’re also served with a heaping dish of plump green olives and another with warm, salted Marcona almonds. For me, this was enough as a mid-afternoon snack and in fact filled me up nicely a couple of hours prior to a late Italian dinner. Fantastic attentive and formal service, I will make this a standby on all of my trips to Positano.
