I always thought my first trip to Spain would be to Madrid to visit the Prado that I’d heard so much about in Spanish class in high school and college.  Instead I headed to Barcelona to gaze at Gaudi and marvel at the unique culture and language of Catalonia.  My cousin was living in Barcelona when I visited in September 2009, so I was lucky enough to have a tapas ordering expert at my disposal.  We had a few misses, but mostly exceptional hits in our eating and drinking and I can’t wait to go back to explore the rest of this beautiful country.
