La Xampañería – Can Paixano

Carrer de Reina Christina, 7
Barcelona, Spain
93-894 1333

We got the recommendation for the Xampañería (actual name Can Paixano – muchas gracias to my cousin Alex!) from our tour guide on our Fat Tire Bike Tour.  It’s a Barcelona classic that attracts a crowd of locals and tourists in the know.  It operates at fairly early hours for Barcelona and closes at about 10pm, but it’s an absolute must.  You’ll get some house made cava for about 1 Euro per glass and cheap tapas including delicious chorizo and sandwiches.  With a group of four, we walked out happy and full for about 10 Euro per person.
