Good Stuff Eatery

303 Pennsylvania Avenue S.E.
Washington, D.C. 20003

My dear friend and D.C. area resident Emily took me to Good Stuff because a) she knows I love good burgers, and b) she knows I love Top Chef.  Located on Capitol Hill, Good Stuff Eatery is the creation of Spike Mendelsohn and home to simple, incredible burgers, fries and shakes.  I’m partial to the Farmhouse cheeseburger while Emily is a Prez Obama burger loyalist.  For me, no meal at Good Stuff if complete without the Village fries with rosemary and thyme.  There’s also a selection of beer on tap and bottle, including Sam Adams seasonal.  I’ve been known to double fist a Sam Summer and a “mini moo,” the perfectly Jenny-sized milkshakes.  While Shake Shack just opened its first D.C. outpost in May 2011, and although I love me some shack, I recommend you skip the line and head to Good Stuff instead.  And say hi to Chef Spike for me. 🙂
